On Shore Activities
While we stop at our various ports of call, there are opportunities
for you to enjoy attractions, recreation, shopping and entertainment.
The following are popular destinations in each port. Please keep
in mind that some of the opportunities are offered on a seasonal
basis. When reserving your cruise, our reservationists will gladly
purchase admissions to any of the following that are of interest
to you. Tickets will be mailed with your confirmation or be held
for you to pick up upon arrival.
The City of Vergennes, Vermont
The City of Vergennes offers a charming Main Street with shops and
galleries. Their hours of operation vary. You are welcome to explore
on your own.
- The Vergennes Opera House
- The Vergennes Opera House was built in 1897 and was recently
restored to serve as a center for the presentation and enjoyment

- The Historical Nature Trail
- The Historical Nature Trail at Vergennes Falls leads you along
the Otter Creek and the falls with historical markers to inform
you along the way. Enjoy this trail at your leisure.
Westport, New York
Westport is situated where Lake Champlain meets the Adirondack Mountains
in a region where porch swings out number cell phones. Westport is
the birthplace of the Adirondack Chair. Westport was established
in 1815 and become recognized as a fashionable resort town. Treat
yourself to a stroll through the village and explore the quaint shops,
boutiques and galleries.
- The Depot Theatre
- The Depot Theatre, an 1876 train station hosts summer stock theater
productions that will amaze and entertain you. For a schedule of

- The Westport Marina
- The Westport Marina is a hub of activity. Shop in the Ship’s
Store boutique or relax in the Galley Restaurant and Bar. There
is live entertainment most evenings during the summer.
Montreal, Quebec
The best way to experience Montreal is to immerse yourself in its
international culture. Extraordinary historical architecture, museums,
theaters, galleries, boutiques, shops, restaurants and sidewalk cafes
will entertain you from sun rise to sun set and beyond.
- Tours
- A city tour with a local guide or a culinary walking tour offer
unique opportunities to learn about this fascinating city. Your
reservationist will gladly make arrangements for you.
- Shopping
- You may also opt to go shopping in an outdoor marketplace with
the Lady’s chef. The variety of fresh selections will amaze
you.
- Festivals
- Montreal is famous for its seasonal summer festivals; The Jazz
Festival (usually held the first week in July), the Just for Laughs
Comedy Festival (usually held the 2nd and 3rd weeks in July) and
the International Fireworks Competition that lasts from July through
early August. Schedule pending, you will be able to witness the
Fireworks Competition while aboard the Moonlight Lady. For admission
to the Jazz Festival or for Just for Laughs, ask your reservationist.
